Brendan Rodgers has made two new appointments as Liverpool manager, hiring a pair of Manchester City scouts, the
Dave Fallows, first team scouting and recruitment co-ordinator, and Barry Hunter, City’s scout for Italy, Switzerland and Russia, will leave the Etihad Stadium for Anfield. Fallows was formerly of Bolton Wanderers and will take up the post of head of scouting and recruitment, while Hunter, who has been with City since 2008, is a former Northern Ireland international who worked with Rodgers at Reading.
The Echo notes that Liverpool declined to comment further on either appointment but it is believed Fallows will make up part of the new technical team that will work with Rodgers on different aspects of the game. Also expected to be incoming are a new head of development and a head of medicine. The technical team was instituted in place of the sporting director model, which Rodgers insisted was altered if he was to leave Swansea City.
