Tamudo’s swansong in Puebla

There has been very little movement in the Mexican transfer window, but one name surely to cause a stir amongst defences of Liga Mexico would be Rayo Vallecano’s Raul Tamudo .Out of the 40 players incoming and outgoing, Tamudo has been one of the scarce foreign players that have been sought after by Liga Mexico’s elite .

There is every indication that the veteran forward, savior of Rayo during the final frantic weekend of action in La liga’s relegation dogfight, will finish his career by swapping the red slash of Rayo for the blue slash of Puebla FC, who recently terminated the services of another Spaniard , ex Liverpool striker Luis Garcia , who was sold to the Pumas.

Tamudo would leave La liga after 20 years of record breaking feats, including being Espanyol’s leading all-time marksman on 145 goals.

An icon at Espanyol, few would doubt the 34 year old to continue is uncanny knack of scoring vital goals at the pivotal moments over the course of a season, he would be a great addition to the Ranks of Puebla.
