Tottenham one of three Premier League sides chasing Rondon

Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Liverpool are competing with each other for the signature of Malaga forward Salomon Rondon, the Daily Mail has reported.

The Mail puts Malaga’s valuation of the striker at around £20m after Rondon scored 11 goals last season to take the side into the coming campaign’s Champions League. Rondon’s agent, Pablo Martinez, has told the Spanish media that there have been a number of enquiries regarding his client from the Premier League, while the Mail adds there is also interest in the Venezuelan from Germany.

Rondon, 22, joined Malaga from Las Palmas in 2010 for what was at the time the most Malaga had ever paid for a player. The oil-backed side have since broken their transfer record on a number of occasions and the Mail suggests the finances behind Malaga are part of the reason Rondon’s price is so high, as the club are not under pressure to sell.
