Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been dealt a blow in the transfer market after reputed target, Paulo Henrique Ganso, revealed he wanted to stay in Brazil with his current club Santos, ESPN
Earlier this month Ganso’s representative, Delcir Sonda, had claimed in a radio interview that Ganso saw his future lying away from Santos, insisting Ganso would not make another appearance for the club.
However, Ganso has moved to deny such stories, writing on Twitter that he had no intention of leaving his current club. Ganso also denied that he had ever asked to leave Santos, insisting later that his future lay with his current employers and that he was solely focused on participating in the Olympic Games with Brazil.
ESPN adds that the earlier reports that Ganso was looking to move on this summer sparked interest in the 22-year-old from across Europe, particularly at Arsenal, but also a string of sides in the Premier League and beyond.
