Brazil midfielder Oscar admits Chelsea medical

Oscar, the Brazil midfielder who has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea, has claimed he has had a medical ahead of his proposed transfer to the Premier League side, BBC Sport has reported.

The 20-year-old however insists he will wait until after the London Olympics to decide his future. Currently with Internacional of Brazil, Oscar is part of Brazil’s Olympics squad and played in the five-time World Cup winners’ 2-0 victory over Team GB on Friday evening.

Brazil are amongst the favourites to win the gold medal at this summer’s games. If the South Americans were to go all the way and reach the final of the tournament their involvement would last until August 11, a week before the start of the Premier League season and only a few weeks before the close of the transfer window.

Oscar, who added it was the dream of many Brazilians to play in Europe and specifically the Premier League, said: “I only had a meeting with the doctor, nothing else. I haven’t signed any contract yet.
