Marouane Chamakh’s career could be offered a lifeline in the coming weeks after it emerged that Serie A side Fiorentina are keen on signing the Arsenal striker.
A report from the Metro
Despite Robin van Persie’s announcement that he wants to leave the North London side, it is thought Arsene Wenger isn’t too concerned about keeping the Moroccan striker either.
Chamakh has had a dismal two years at the Emirates, arriving with high hopes and potential he has made 63 appearances, contributing just 12 goals. Now with the arrival of Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud he could find his first team opportunities even more limited, making a move away from Arsenal very alluring.
Fiorentina’s speculated offer is in the region of £4 million and Arsenal are not expected to ask for too much more than that.
