Chelsea are open to the idea of letting Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku make the short journey to Fulham on a season-long loan, Yahoo
Lukaku moved to Chelsea from Anderlecht a year ago in an £18m deal but has so far found first team opportunities limited at Stamford Bridge. Last season the 19-year-old made only nine appearances for his new club, starting only four times with just one of those coming in the Premier League. The Champions League winners are said to be willing to let Lukaku go to Fulham for a year if he can play more regularly at Craven Cottage.
For his part Lukaku has admitted his frustration at featuring so rarely last season for Chelsea, claiming to have been treated poorly by former Blues manager Andre Villas-Boas. It is expected that any loan move for Lukaku would see the two clubs split the player’s wages equally.
