Chelsea are still in the hunt for two new signings according to Chief Executive Ron Gourlay.

He said: “While we ended with a very strong season, it was clear that there were some areas where we could strengthen, so we knew we were always going to have to do that.” Adding: “If the right players become available at the right time we will sign them. We’ve done that and we are still continuing to look at one or two positions and we will see how that develops over the next couple of weeks.”
The Blues have already made two high-profile summer signings in the form of Eden Hazard and Marko Marin as well as the arrival of Thorgan Hazard, the younger brother of Eden.
Chelsea added players after losing Didier Drogba, Salomon Kalou and Jose Boswinga on free transfers due to the expiration of their contracts. A number of players, however, have returned from loan spells including Josh McEachran, Yossi Benayoun, Gael Kakuta and Kevin De Bruyne who will all be battling for a place in Di Matteo’s squad in the forthcoming season.
Speculation as to who they will sign has been mixed all summer with interest in Porto striker Hulk, Wigan winger Victor Moses and Marseille defender Cesar Azpilcueta all attracting headlines in recent weeks. They also had a £17 million bid for German striker Andre Schurrle rejected by Bayern Leverkusen this last month.
