Hulk insists no Chelsea talks

Brazil striker Hulk has denied holding talks with Chelsea over a move to the Premier League club, instead insisting he is focused on his forthcoming international summer ahead of the London Olympics, ESPN has reported.

Hulk has long been considered a target of the Champions League winners but a transfer from current club Porto has yet to materialise. There had been speculation that Chelsea had made an offer for the forward but the Porto president denied receiving any bids for Hulk, claiming that while the club had received enquiries for a number of their players, the former Tokyo Verdy striker was not one of them.

The 25-year-old has been named as one of three overage players in Brazil’s Olympics squad, to be coached by the senior side’s Mano Menezes. Hulk is joined by Real Madrid left-back Marcelo, 24, and Thiago Silva, the 27-year-old Milan centre-back who will captain the side.
