Italian giants Juventus have pulled out of the race to sign Arsenal’s talismanic striker Robin van Persie, reports the
Van Persie has admitted his desire to leave the Gunners having decided not to extend his contract, which runs out in 12 months.
It was believed Juve and the two Manchester clubs were interested in the Dutchman, but it now appears the Serie A champions have insisted Arsenal’s valuation is not value for money.
It is unclear whether Arsenal are happy to listen to offers from Premier League rivals, Manchester City, and United, but they may be left with little choice if there is no concrete interest from elsewhere.
Van Persie scored an outstanding 30 league goals last season, and would represent a huge loss for the North London club, who haven’t’ given up hope of convincing their star striker to stay.
