The Mail adds that Nani is keen to stay at United but after an impasse was reached between the parties in contract negotiations the 25-year-old fears his time with the club is drawing to an end. United have already had an offer for Porto winger James Rodriguez rejected, with the newspaper claiming the Columbian would be a ready-made replacement for Nani.
United are understood to have offered Nani a significant increase to his £90,000 a week wage when a contract extension was being discussed but the player’s side turned down the deal, with United so far declining to make a renewed pitch. Nani has been at United since 2007, joining from Sporting Lisbon.
