Andre Villas-Boas is preparing himself for his first battle with former club Chelsea as he looks to attract Robert Lewandowski to White Hart Lane.
According the Daily
The 23-year-old has impressed the Premier Leauge giants in the past few seasons, including Manchester United and Arsenal, but so far no transfer has materialized. Spurs are speculated to have made contact with Borussia Dortmund over a possible move for the striker but nothing so far has come to fruition.
As well as scoring the first goal of this summer’s European Championships, in two seasons in Germany, Lewandowski has scored 39 goals in 89 games helping Dortmund win the Bundesliga back to back for the first time in fifteen years.
Poland’s manager, Franciszek Smuda, claimed at the beginning of Euro 2012 that the big striker would be signing for Manchester United in the near future but that talk was quickly squashed by Dortmund who claimed they have no interest in selling their star centre forward.
