Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has completed his first signing just one day into his new job, as Hoffenheim midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson joins the London side, reports Eurosport.
With Villas-Boas joining Tottenham yesterday, there were also reports that he could try and bring Portugal midfielder Joao Moutinho to White Hart Lane. However it is 22 year old Sigurdsson who becomes the first summer signing for Spurs.
Sigurdsson made 18 appearances after joining Swansea on loan in January last season, scoring seven goals, and was also named Premier League Player of the Month for March. The player also spent time at Reading in the Championship, before making the move to the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim.
