Arsenal’s Park Chu-Young could be set to drop out of the Premier League and move to recently relegated Blackburn Rovers, the
Blackburn manager Steve Kean has been linked with a swoop for the South Korea international and is said to be eager to bolster his strike force after summer signing Leon Best injured his knee in a friendly, ruling him out of action for six months.
Kean has had Park watched during his appearances for South Korea during the London Olympics and is thought to have been impressed enough to sanction a bid for the 27-year-old. The Mail adds that Arsenal are unlikely to stand in Park’s way.
Park joined Arsenal last summer, signing from Monaco late in the transfer window. However, the former FC Seoul player had a difficult time of it at the Emirates Stadium, making just six appearances – only one of which came in the Premier League – and scoring a single goal, in the League Cup against Bolton Wanderers.
