Arsenal are keen to finalise the signings of two La Liga midfielders, according to the BBC, with Malaga winger Santi Cazorla and Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin on the wish list of Arsene Wenger.
The move for Cazorla is complicated by goings-on at Malaga, where financial problems and talk of a takeover are threatening to cloud the move for the Spain international. But Arsenal are lining-up a permanent move for the double European Championship winner. Cazorla was part of the successful Spain squad at both Euro 2008 and Euro 2012.
Sahin, meanwhile, is being lined up for a season-long loan at the Emirates Stadium. The Turkey international joined Madrid on a six-year contract from Borussia Dortmund a year ago but could not establish himself under Jose Mourinho. Facing competition from the likes of Xabi Alonso and Sami Khedira, Sahin, 23, has been made available for loan by the Portuguese Coach.
