Paul Lambert is looking to Middlesbrough as he looks to strengthen his side that has started poorly this season.
According to the Birmingham
The 22-year-old has played a total of 92 games at left back for Middlebrough after graduating from their academy at the age of 18. He has found himself on the fringes of the first team this season and a move to Villa Park could be a lifeline for the young Englishman.
Villa have yet to pick up a single point from their opening two games, their next match being away to Newcastle on Sunday. Lambert is hoping that before the transfer window shuts on Friday he can get some last minute deals done to turn around their poor start and make sure they don’t have a similar campaign to last year which has been dubbed by the club’s fans and those in charge as the worst in a generation.
