Cesar Azpilicueta is set to complete his move from Marseille to Chelsea in the next few days. According to the Daily
The Blues initially had a £6m bid turned down for the Spanish youth international but now they should complete the deal with an improved offer thought to be upwards of £7m.
Since signing for Marseille in 2010 the Spaniard has played 46 Ligue 1 games, scoring once. He is yet to make a senior debut for the Spanish senior national side but has featured at every level from U16 up to U23 at the Olympics in London this summer.
Azpilicueta will be the fifth signing of the summer for the Champions League winners as they look to rebuild their squad after some key players left due when their contracts expired – the 21-year-old Azpilicueta will be replacing Jose Bosingwa, who was not given a new deal by the club.
