Andy Carroll has not joined his Liverpool teammates in Belarus for their Europa League qualifier due to injury, according to the club. Reported in the Daily
The English centre forward has been subject of much speculation this summer regarding his future at Anfield. Most recently West Ham United have reportedly weighed in with two big offers for the 23-year-old but he is supposedly holding out for a move back to Newcastle or to a club playing European football.
Since arriving from Liverpool 18 months ago, Carroll has failed to make a big impression on the first team. Under Kenny Dalglish he only managed 6 goals in 42 games, stats it would seem that have not impressed new boss Rodgers.
But despite this, Carroll did travel with the England squad to Euro 2012, grabbing a goal from an impressive header and generally giving a good account of his ability. It is still unknown what the club plans to do with their £35m centre-forward.
