Manchester City are preparing to bid for Swansea City winger Scott Sinclair, the
City’s bid will comprise £5.5m up front with the rest dependent on clauses and bonuses. Sinclair has only 11 months remaining on his current deal with Swansea and the Mail claim the former Chelsea player is eager to clarify his future with the club.
Sinclair moved to Swansea from Stamford Bridge in 2010, helping the Welsh side to promotion from the Premier League and then to a solid first season back in the top flight. Sinclair scored 27 goals for the Swans in the Championship and added a further eight in the Premier League last season.
Roberto Mancini is not the only manager casting admiring glances towards the 23-year-old, however, as the Mail suggests a host of Premier League clubs are also monitoring Sinclair’s situation. The likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Liverpool, who are coached by Sinclair’s former Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers, are set to give City competition for the player’s signature.
