Man City’s Rodwell pleased with point at Liverpool

Jack Rodwell has opted to take the positives from the champions 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Sunday, praising his side’s ability to come from behind twice to grab a point at Anfield. Reported by the Daily Mail, Manchester City’s new signing spoke about the character and determination within the side as well as the adapting style they are currently going through.

He said: “It showed great character to come back from being behind twice and Carlos scored a great goal. We have to keep grinding these points out away from home, especially at places like Anfield and we’ll just take away the positives from today.

Rodwell came on as a second-half substitute and was penalized for handball, which gave Liverpool the free-kick that put them 2-1 up thanks to Luis Suarez.

The 21-year-old was not sure if he had handled the ball, replays showed the ball hitting his arm but with both arms brought in covering his chest.

Manchester City, meanwhile, are expected to have some strong movement in the final week of the transfer window with Scott Sinclair already on his way from Swansea. Manchester City’s next game is against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
