Brazilian midfielder Lucas Moura, who has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, has edged closer to a transfer to French side Paris Saint-Germain, according to ESPN.
A €45m offer has reportedly been accepted by Moura’s current club Sao Paulo, and the player is likely to move to Paris in January. Manchester United have seemingly ended their interest in the highly-rated midfielder.
Speaking to Brazilian media Moura said: “I talked to Thiago Silva and Leonardo; they said many good things about the club, the project they are implementing there.”
Sao Paulo appear eager to keep their star player until the January transfer window and Moura himself has indicated he wishes to remain at the Brazilian club. He said: “I’ll stay at Sao Paulo until the end of the year. Things are well underway.”
The midfielder has appeared for the Sao Paulo first-team on 59 occasions, scoring 14 goals from his position. Italian giants Inter were also in the hunt for the teenager.
