New Chelsea signing Victor Moses has admitted he was shocked that the Champions League winners were interested in buying him, the
Moses completed a long-running move last weekend, leaving Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee. The 21-year-old could make his debut on Friday, when Chelsea play Atletico Madrid in the European Super Cup.
The former Crystal Palace player revealed that when his agent informed him of Chelsea’s interest, he was surprised but also excited at the prospect of playing for such a prestigious club. Moses also added that he was happy to return to London, having grown up in the city after moving from Nigeria at a very young age.
Moses confirmed that although he mostly played on the right wing last season at Wigan, he is comfortable switching to the left, playing in a withdrawn, central role or as a more orthodox striker, versatility the Mail suggests Roberto Di Matteo will look to exploit.
