Two teams who have had very disappointing opening days of the new Premier League season meet at Carrow Road on Saturday, keen to get their season back on track.
Norwich City, under new manager Chris Hughton, collapsed to a 5-0 defeat at Fulham last weekend, in what was a lacklustre performance by the Canaries. If they were to pick their opposition for the coming fixture, the only team that had as poor a start were Queens Park Rangers.
QPR, despite spending heavily during the Summer, fell 5-0 at home to Bryan Laudrup’s Swansea City. To combat that the QPR board have again been active in the transfer market this week, with Jose Bosingwa added to the squad, along with Ricardo Carvalho, who joins from Real Madrid.
Bosingwa is set to start at right-back, in place of Nedem Onuoha, however Carvalho faces a late fitness test before Mark Hughes makes a decision. Armand Traore is still out with an ankle injury, while Alejandro Fraulin is doubtful.
Norwich have also been active in the market this week, trying to bolster their defensive options. Sebastien Bassong and Javier Garrido both join up with the squad, and Hughton is coy on whether either, or both, will start this weekend. Midfielder Elliott Bennett is set to miss out with a knee injury.
