QPR have Granero bid accepted

Queens Park Rangers are set to make another marquee signing before the transfer window closes with Esteban Granero currently on his way to London to have a medical and discuss personal terms with the R’s.

According to Sky Sports, the Real Madrid midfielder has been allowed to leave the club and a deal has been struck for a permanent deal with QPR.

Granero has come through the Real Madrid ranks playing at all levels before being sold to Getafe in 2008 following a successful loan spell there. He only spent one season on a permanent deal with Getafe before Real Madrid bought him back in 2009.

Since coming back to the Bernabau he has played 67 La Liga games for Madrid, scoring 4 goals. He is yet to break into the Spanish national side but has appeared at every level from U16 up.

At 25-years of age, Granero is an attacking midfielder and is famed for his creative passing and technique. Discussions with QPR are ongoing.
