Olivier Giroud, Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla did all arrive in north London but after allowing a succession of fringe players to leave the club, many on loan, Arsenal ended the transfer window with a profit. An AST spokesman said: “Our own analysis shows the club have not used all of the resources available to them to strengthen the squad. Many of our members are extremely frustrated as they believe no stone should be left unturned in trying to make Arsenal a better team.”
