Demba Ba’s future at Newcastle has been put in doubt after his agent lambasted the Magpies’ manager Alan Pardew for dropping the Senegal international for last Monday night’s game at Everton.
Ba, who was Newcastle’s top scorer last season with 16 goals having moved on a free transfer from West Ham in the summer of 2011, came off the bench to score twice and rescue a point from his side after a first half in which Newcastle struggled to cope with Everton.
