Lloris faces fight to dislodge Friedel at Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur Head Coach Andre Villas-Boas has refused to guarantee Hugo Lloris first team football at White Hart Lane only days after signing the France international, the Guardian. has reported. Villas-Boas insisted that Lloris will have to earn his place in the team as long as Brad Friedel keeps performing to his current standard.

Lloris joined Spurs from Lyon on transfer deadline day but was not eligible to make his debut for his new club against Norwich City on Saturday.
