Yesil signed for the Reds from Bayer Leverkusen for a £1m fee, and has been seen by many as a future star with an impressive goals tally of 20 goals in 21 games for the German U17s team as well as three in three for the U19s.
Rodgers had described Yesil as somebody who we would be likely to see in a few years’ time, but with a goal scoring crisis on their hands of just three in four league games, it seems likely that Yesil could be thrown into the deep end against the side from Bern.
On the matter Rodgers said: “Yesil will certainly be fast-tracked. He will be involved in the Europa League game.”
