Arsenal consider January move for Crystal Palace forward Zaha

Arsenal have sent scouts to watch Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha with a view to making a move for the teenager when the transfer window opens in January, the Daily Mail has reported.

Arsene Wenger is said to have sent his chief scout, Steve Rowley, to the King Power Stadium to watch Zaha during Palace’s 2-1 win over Leicester City. Zaha did not score but played 90 minutes for the managerless Eagles before he was substituted in injury time as Palace moved to shore up their lead.

Zaha has scored four times this season, hitting braces in consecutive games against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley, and has made 14 appearances for his club. Zaha has also broken into the England U-21 set-up under Stuart Pearce, while the Mail claims the 19-year-old has already been the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Chelsea.

The owners of Crystal Palace have however insisted Zaha is not for sale in the winter transfer window.
