Andre Santos could be set to return to Turkish football after 18 months in the Premier League with Arsenal, the
Santos moved to the Emirates Stadium for just over £6m last summer but this season has lost his place under Arsene Wenger to fit-again Kieran Gibbs. Santos has made just four appearances in the campaign so far, making his first Premier League start in Saturday’s defeat to Norwich City.
Last season an ankle injury ruled Santos out of action for three months and restricted him to just 21 appearances, with the former Corinthians defender also scoring three goals.
Santos’ struggles at Arsenal have alerted admirers in Turkey, the Mail adds, with Galatasaray chief executive Lutfi Aribogan publically admitting his side’s interested in the Brazil international. Santos previously spent two years with Fener and has more than 20 caps for Brazil to his name.
