Arteta suffered a minor ankle injury against Chelsea and while the problem is not serious, the game against the Greek champions may come too soon for the Gunners vice-captain. Arteta played the full 90 minutes against the Blues but may not be ready to play Olympiakos, particularly since Arsenal have a difficult trip to West Ham on the horizon in the next round of league fixtures.
If Arteta does not make the match then Wenger will have to field a new-look midfield pairing, with Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain amongst the names vying for a start.
