Benitez has been out of management since late 2010, when he left Milan’s city rivals Inter after winning the FIFA Club World Cup. Benitez was in charge of Liverpool for six years, between 2004 and 2010, winning the Champions League in 2005, the FA Cup in 2006 and guiding the Reds to their highest league finish – second – in recent years.
