Moutinho was the target of Villas-Boas’ affections on transfer deadline day, but that move collapsed at the 11th hour and the Spurs boss was looking to make another move in January. Spurs lost Luka Modric to Real Madrid in the summer and Villas-Boas wants to recruit in central midfield. However, the Portuguese international has ruled out a switch to the Premier League and wants to continue at Porto, who are currently second in the Portuguese top-flight.
