Balotelli staying at Man City, insists striker’s agent

Mario Balotelli is not returning to Serie A, the agent of the Manchester City striker has said. The Daily Mirror reports that Milan had been considering a move for the Italy international but Mino Raiola has poured cold water on the idea.

It had been suggested that the relationship between Balotelli and his City manager, Roberto Mancini, had deteriorated to the point that the latter wanted rid of the former, despite having previously worked together at Inter. Raiola admitted that the bond between Balotelli and Mancini is often strained but added that the pair would not be separated any time soon.

Raiola said: “His relationship with Mancini is like that between a husband and his wife. They argue but they love and respect each other so much.” Raiola added that Balotelli intended to stay at the Etihad Stadium for the rest of his two-and-a-half year contract and was not thinking of a departure, to Milan or any other side.

Balotelli has been at City since 2010, winning the FA Cup and the Premier League with the team and scoring 29 goals in 73 games.
