Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez believes that Fernando Torres is already improving after less than a week under his stewardship at Stamford Bridge.
Since Benitez’s arrival as manager, the Blues have endured two frustrating home goalless draws with Torres failing to catch fire in either clash against Manchester City or Fulham.
However, according to Sky
“We have had maybe five training sessions so far,” said Benitez. “It is too early but for me we are watching things that are positive.”
Chelsea’s 0-0 draw with local rivals Fulham saw the European champions fall seven points behind league leaders Manchester United but Benitez still believes that the Premier League title is in sight.
Chelsea next face another London derby in the shape of Sam Allardyce’s West Ham at Upton Park on Saturday before they play Nordsjaelland in their crucial Champions League tie at Stamford Bridge, knowing that they must win to retain any chance of progressing through to the knockout stages of the competition.
