Giroud claimed a brace during Arsenal’s 3-3 draw with Fulham on Saturday, first opening the scoring after just over than 10 minutes of game time before later drawing Arsenal level after Fulham had hit back to take a 3-2 lead. The goals were Giroud’s third and fourth in his last four games, having also netted against Schalke in the Champions League and Reading in the League Cup.

The 26-year-old’s first league goal followed around a fortnight later, in a 3-1 victory over West Ham at Upton Park, with Giroud having hit six goals in 17 games under Arsene Wenger thus far this season.
Giroud said: “I’m starting to quieten the doubters a bit. I’m feeling better and better in this team and I think you can see it. I’m trying to build an understanding with my new team-mates and we are getting to know each other more and more. I’d be happy to get between 12 and 15 goals in the league this season.”
