Two mid-table sides face off at the Britannia as perennial away-day strugglers Fulham search for victory against a Stoke side that has struggled for goals of late.
Tony Pulis’ men are still looking for the victory or two that will put real daylight between them and the relegation zone and will be eyeing maximum points against the Cottagers and then at home to Newcastle a week later.
The Potters will welcome back midfielder Dean Whitehead after he missed the 1-1 draw at West Ham through suspension. However, full-back Andy Wilkinson is doubtful after sustaining an injury to his back against the Hammers. Elsewhere, Michael Owen remains absent while Rory Delap and Marc Wilson are long term absentees for the home side.
Fulham may hand Philippe Senderos his first start of the season in place of skipper Brede Hangeland, who serves the first of his three-match suspension for his red card in the 3-1 defeat by Sunderland at Craven Cottage last week. Martin Jol is also sweating on the fitness of Mladen Petric, Mahamadou Diarra and Chris Baird, although all could take their places in the side.
However, hamstring injuries will account for the absences of Alex Kacaniklic, Bryan Ruiz, Kieran Richardson and Mickael Tavares as the Cottagers search for their first win on the road since their victory at Wigan in late September.
