Yanga-Mbiwa, a France international also on the wanted list of Serie A giants Milan, has been linked with a summer transfer to the Emirates Stadium, but told France Football that he goes to sleep at night dreaming of scoring an important goal for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side.
He said: “My dream is to play with the shirt of Manchester United in a match in Old Trafford. My favourite club is United without doubt. When I sleep I dream of scoring a decisive goal with my head at a corner. That would be very beautiful.”
Yanga-Mbiwa has spent his entire career at Montpellier, making his first team debut in 2007 and winning the Ligue 1 title with the club last season. The 23-year-old has a handful of caps for France and is most comfortable as a centre-back, but can play anywhere across the backline.
