A fee of £15m has been agreed between the clubs and the England international could have a medical ahead of the transfer within the next 24 hours, bringing the move closer should the procedure be completed without a hitch.
United have spent the last few days in Qatar undergoing warm weather training – but manager Sir Alex Ferguson remained at home to oversee the move for the 20-year-old Zaha. Zaha would be loaned back to Palace for the rest of the Championship season as the London club tries to keep up their promotion push. The Eagles are fourth in the second tier, inside the play-off places and two points short of automatic promotion.

Young has suffered knee ligament damage and could be missing for as long as six weeks, ruling him out of the first-leg of the Champions League double-header with Real Madrid.
