Tottenham have renewed their interest in Internacional striker Leandro Damiao, with a bid of £15m in the pipeline, reports the Telegraph.
Spurs
Tottenham currently have three strikers available for manager Andre Villas-Boas – Jermain Defoe has scored 10 goals in 21 league appearances so far, while Clint Dempsey, in a deeper role, has four so far.
Emmanuel Adebayor however, could still be unavailable over coming weeks if he chooses to join up with the Togo Africa Cup of Nations squad in South Africa.
Villas-Boas recently confirmed that the club were still interested in Damiao:
“We follow the best players and youngsters. Leandro fits this profile. He has had injuries after London 2012, but he is a player that is always on our list.”
Damiao has been capped 14 times for the Brazilian national team, and featured in the London Olympic games in 2012, scoring six goals in five appearances, earning him the top scorer title.
