Balotelli urges Man City to stick with Mancini

Mario Balotelli has urged Manchester City to keep faith in manager Roberto Mancini, according to ESPN.

The former City striker left the club in January to sign for continental giants Milan, with Mancini having grown tired of the Italian’s unpredictability.

But Balotelli retains an affection for both Manchester City and his former boss, believing that his previous employers would be making a mistake if they chose to dispose of Mancini’s services.

Balotelli told The Sun: “There is nobody better for City. Most importantly, the players like him. If you asked who they want next season, every single player would say Roberto. He’s not just their coach but also their friend.

Despite having guided City to their first league title for 44 years last season, Mancini’s future is said to be in question.

The club finished bottom of their Champions League group and also look to be out of the title race already – sitting 12 points behind Premier League leaders Manchester United.

Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini is among the managers to be linked with Mancini’s job.
