Redknapp believes QPR can stay up

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp still believes his side can escape relegation from the Premier League, according to Sky Sports.

Redknapp’s men haven’t won a league match since the start of January and are currently rock bottom of the Premier League table, seven points from safety.

But the former Tottenham boss has not given up hope yet and maintains that the Hoops can get the results to survive in the top division – starting with the home fixture against league leaders Manchester United this weekend.

Redknapp said: “We need to close the gap. We need 20 points at least. Whether that would be enough I don’t know but we have to try for that.

Of course I feel we can do it. If I stop believing everyone does. I still think it is possible with 12 games to go and lots of points to play for. Six points can turn everything around so quickly.

QPR could welcome back Loic Remy for the visit of United. The French striker has been missing due to a groin injury but is in contention to be involved in the game at Loftus Road.
