Alexis Sanchez looks set to leave La Liga giants Barcelona this summer, with Arsenal ready to bring the Chile winger to the Premier League, according to the
The Gunners are expected to face competition from Inter, who would like to return Sanchez to Italian football – the 24-year-old previously played for Udinese before moving to Catalonia for a £22m fee in 2011, turning down offers from both Manchester City and Manchester United in the process.
United could yet resurrect their interest in the player, with Barcelona willing to listen to offers for Sanchez after a disappointing season at the Nou Camp. Liverpool and Juventus are also said to be monitoring the situation closely.
Sanchez has made 29 appearances for Los Cules this season but scored only three goals, going almost four months between strikes against Benfica in the Champions League in October and a goal against Getafe in La Liga in February.
He has however been encouraged to join Arsenal by Udinese sporting director Fabrizio Larini, who said: “Sanchez needs to play the ball on the ground, just like Arsenal. That would be his ideal game.
