Fenerbahce plot summer move for Chelsea captain Terry

John Terry could be offered the chance to move to Fenerbahce this summer as the Istanbul side look to compete with rivals Galatasaray in the big-name signing stakes, the Daily Mail has reported, with Terry’s former Chelsea teammate Didier Drogba recently moving to Gala.

Terry is entering the final year of his current Chelsea contract and has seen his playing time reduced under current interim manager Rafael Benitez, following a knee injury that ruled him out of action for most of the winter.

As well as Drogba, Galatasaray added Inter midfielder Wesley Sneijder to their ranks in the January transfer window and face a Champions League quarter-final with Real Madrid in the next few weeks, as well as leading Fener by four points in the Turkish league.

Fener signed Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt last summer and also include former Chelsea players Raul Meireles and Miroslav Stoch in their squad, as well as ex-Everton defender Joseph Yobo.
