Mancini willing to let Dzeko leave Man City

Roberto Mancini has hinted that he could let Edin Dzeko leave Manchester City this summer by discussing how much the Bosnia striker would be worth if he was to move on in the summer, according to ESPN.

Dzeko moved to City from Wolfsburg in January 2011 but has been linked with a return to Germany at the end of the season, with Borussia Dortmund said to be keen on signing the striker.

Mancini said the club have not discussed the future of Dzeko or any other player as there are still 10 games of the season to go, but said that every place has his price.

The manager added that if Dzeko was to ask to leave the club would consider selling him – and that would go for any other player as well.

Mancini said: “ Edin is an important player for us. At this time we have not spoken about the transfer market as there are still 10 games to go [this season].

But in June anything can happen. If a player asks me to leave, we will evaluate the situation – this applies for all players. Dzeko, for me, is a great player. In Italy he could score more than 20 goals a season but he would cost €20 million (£17 million), maybe more.

Dzeko has scored 38 goals in 99 games for City, winning the FA Cup in 2011 and the Premier League title in 2012. This season, Dezko has 13 goals in 35 appearances for his club.
