Stoke have won only one of their last 11 Premier League games and currently sit 11th in the table, seven points clear of 18th-placed Wigan Athletic. Pulis took Stoke into the top flight for the first time since 1985 when promotion to the Premier League was clinched at the end of the 2007/08 season, and led Stoke to the FA Cup final in 2011, where they were beaten by Manchester City.
