Ramsey credits new approach for Arsenal form

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has credited the club’s recent upturn in form down to a new approach that the club have undertaken during matches.

The Gunners had an inconsistent start to their Premier League campaign, which has continued through the season, and saw pressure grow on manager Arsene Wenger after the club lost three games from four, the last of which was a 2-1 defeat to local rivals Tottenham.

But since that match, Arsenal have won three games in a row, scoring eight goals and conceding just one, in their 4-1 victory over Reading at the weekend.

Talking on the official club website, Ramsey revealed: “In the past, we’ve been accused of starting slowly and I think that’s something we’ve changed, especially in the last month. We’ve started off on the front foot, defended high up the pitch and won the ball back in dangerous areas. We did that plenty of times [against Reading].”

Arsenal’s next outing is away to West Brom next Saturday, as they look to keep the pressure on third place Tottenham and fourth place Chelsea, in the race for Champions League football.
