Mark Schwarzer has hinted that he could be on his way out of Fulham in the summer by admitting that he is yet to open contract talks with the Craven Cottage outfit, reports Sky
The goalkeeper was subject to much transfer speculation when his previous contract expired, with Arsenal very publically courting the Australian.
Cottagers manager Martin Jol has expressed his hope that Schwarzer, whose contract expires at the end of the season, will remain with the club.
Schwarzer highlighted his importance to the club during their 1-1 draw with strugglers Aston Villa on Saturday, but when asked about his future he left things open.
He said: “Who knows? We’ll have to wait and see. I have a contract until the end of the season, but I want to carry on playing without a doubt.
“I definitely want to play until the next World Cup with Australia. I’m no closer to signing a new deal and there aren’t any talks at the moment, either. I’m just trying to do the best I can and we’ll see what happens at the end of the season.”
