Tottenham have emerged as contenders to sign Roma striker Pablo Osvaldo, according to reports
The 27-year-old forward has come under pressure in recent months for his behaviour both on and off the pitch, and a yellow card picked up at the weekend means the Italian-Argentine front man will miss next weekend’s Derby della Capitale, the derby against city rivals Lazio.
Reports in Italy suggest that a move away from Roma is likely, and if he is to leave Serie A, Russian side Anzhi, and Tottenham, are the most likely destinations for the eight times capped Italy international.
Tottenham have long been linked with bringing in a striker, and reportedly came close to landing Leandro Damiao from Internacional in the January transfer window.
Osvaldo, despite his criticism in the Eternal city, has netted 11 goals this season in 23 matches.
