Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon could make his return to first team action against Wigan Athletic this Saturday, after three weeks out, reports Sky
The 26-year-old, who has been one of Spurs’ best players this season, suffered a knee injury which forced him off in the first half of Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with FC Basel earlier this month.
Lennon had to sit out of last weekend’s 3-1 victory over Manchester City after he failed a fitness test, but the winger returned to full training with the rest of the Tottenham squad today and is back in contention for the trip to the DW Stadium this Saturday.
The return to full fitness for Lennon means that only Younes Kaboul is missing from Tottenham’s first team squad, due to an injury that has kept him out of action since August. However, Spurs are hopeful that the defender may play again before the end of the season.
